Does anyone have one of these or has anyone known anyone that had one? I got myself one for hiking and survival tasks becuas of the huge pockets to carry the kit i need...I was wondering of anyone has any input from first hand experience on this rig.

the ISSAK from what i have heard from a lot of trusted guys is that it is anexceptional rig, I would have bought it, had it not been so much, and if I had a SAW (it can accomodate other weapons too though....) If you want it, get it cause that price is amazing.

only catch though is that I do not have first hand experiance, sorry.

Np Blarney,

Thanks for the reply..I have already ordered it as of Fri..At that price i had to give it a try and since they are discontinuing them that was another reason to grab one up.... I was just wondering what some others might have to say regarding it..Though i think i should have grabbed the rifleman version but the SAW version with the huge pouches will come in much handier treking through the swamps and forests

Its BH so you get the life time garuntee..Only thing that makes me wonder is if they stop making them how can they replace it should it get busted....:-)

good part about this rig is that its made in US, not in Vietnam. Youll enjoy it, but I hope you have a SAW, though some stitching and extra stuff will help, this rig is well worth it.

No i dont have a SAW..Im not that rich. It will be used for other activities...Im glad its made in the US and helped some American pay thier bills.

haha, it's a lot of money, but in kit terms, that's a damn good buy.

Most people waist 140$ a month w/o even knowing it on fast food....buy feel good junk food at the grocery store..that DVD they have to have...over price latest fashions....impulse buying at the store..smoking..payperview..or just being in a hurry all the time and blowing down the autobahn sucking up gas for no reason...IMO 140$ on a quality peice of kit is money well spent..;-)

I'm picking up their RIFLEMAN version soon.

NSW uses the same setup for riverine operations, etc blah blah. London Bridge Trading makes the same thing too.

I know you can get it for a great price. But I feel that it has too much to it. I prefer to modify my kit, and this one isn't that kind of kit. It's manely a SEAL set up, and those from my experience don't work for anything else.

I need something that helps my ass float.... new training site.. lotsa water. :)

You can probably remove the flotation panels, but I think the shoulder straps remain padded as hell. Might not be too comfy with a rucksack, depending on how you wear/load/carry it.

If they run out before I can buy one, I'll just pay the extra $230 and buy the LBT one.

Indeed.....Last year i had to take my rig off cause it kept filling up with water evertime i hoped out for what ever reason..It was like having 5 gallon buckets hanging from me...All in all i hope it comes in handy especillay if i tip it. Im pretty light so i guess it will holdk me afloat..

This is just a bonus as it wasnt my intended reason for getting the new rig..........

if you think that is expensive:

this puppy will cost you in the area of $3000 USD without plates. So if you added front/back plates and any pouches, you are looking upward of $6000 USD.

Don't believe me?, trust me.

who the hell are Crye trying to kid, beside rich airsofter's, 3 grand for the rig and no plates they can keep it, and if it's as "high" quality as their BDU's, .....

Don't take a dump on their dreams Mough. So what this thingy is in fact as complicated as average Jansport backpack? You got to represent!

Jokes Aside - Brandenburger, why you bought this rig? You have PLCE, its a superior to BHI (Im not their fan in anyway). Why not to just get a comfortpad and make some good pouches for your needed pourposes. Cheaper and better solution anyway. And use a damn flotation collar, I wouldn't count on my webbing, even with all that foam inside to serve as a life jacket.

It ain't exactly a life jacket, it merely provides "extra flotation", and leaves the rest up to the end user to say "um, how much can we do with this thing?".

The LBT model is apparently US Coast Guard approved as a flotation device though, and seeing as they're the same design.....

I know how it floats, friend of mine tried that trick with fully laden FSBE with flotation panels. I only managed to fell outa inflatables when in my gear - swimming with boots on sucks.

Haha yes it does. Slower method of drowning.

Good question C22-

I wanna see if i can get all my kit onto one rig and see if i can iliminate the need for a ruck in most of my outdoor situations or at least limit the ruck to a small patrol pack..Second reason is that i just wanna try it out..I have some extra ReichsMarks and its on sale so I figure WTF!;-) PLCE is a good peice of kit but i can never get what i need on it w/o it turning into a cluster fuk of straps and half rig messes.........

I can carry enough crap to move and shoot for 3 days (dunno bout the shoot part, but cna carry 18x 30rd mags!) without a ruck. Just got a sustainment pouch and a few others on the back for food and some extra H2O.

What is a PLCE sustainment pouch?

I can carry enough kit in my pocket and live for weeks if i had too but to stay as comfortable and as healthy as i can while Im out Ill take the proper kit..BTW i wont be using mine for any official military applications just survial and bushcraft outting into the swamps, mountains and forests for various time durations........If i were moving and shooting it be a whole other story.
