Depends, what is your budget?

TM (Tokyo Marui) guns are probably the cheapest and the most reliable. You don't get all the features and upgrade potential of other brands but they're the best for someone on a budget.

The TM AUG would be a good field gun. It's only as long as an M4 but has a barrel longer than an M16 I believe because of it's design. If you want it for CQB I would suggest a TM P90 TR. VERY manuverable for CQB and it comes with a silencer so you could put an M4 length tight bore or even longer extending into the silencer and even have a decent field gun. I've also heard the TM AK47 is a good gun but I'm not drawn to it in any way. The pistol grip on it is butt ugly.

Another gun I ould recomend besides a TM would be a CA (Classic Army) M15A4. You can get it as an M4 or an M16. This gun comes with a metal body and is very solid and attractive, especially over TMs. I think this gun would be a better bet. Just so much nicer than a TM but not too much more money.

To be honest i dont know, it all depends on what can fit me cause i guess you would call me a "skinney." So that limits the gun length (no M16s or other long guns) and the vests i can buy, but theres no way in heel im payin more than $400 for a gun.

I would highly recomend the CA M15A4 for you then. For CQB you could get the collapsable stock version or one with a full stock to hold a larger battery. Stock this gun has a damn good ROF on a 7.2Volt battery. Believe me.

If you really don't care about metal, like I said, you could get a TM AUG or P90 TR if it's mostly for CQB.

I'm 100% sure the carry handle of the CA is removable and I don't see why it wouldn't be on the TM as well.

Tokyo Marui just came out with a new M4A1, and they fixed a lot of the problems, like barrel wobble, etc. Carry Handle mount is removable. TM or CA are you're best bets.

Death.

Go for the new TM, or CA m15a4 if you want metal.

And you're suppose to say the full name before you put in the acronym.
IE: Tokyo Marui (TM), not TM (Tokyo Marui)

I had a TM, i sold it for a CA. My TM had bad barrel wobble, i was terrified to dive on the ground in fear of breaking it in 2. The CA is rock solid, like a real M4 almost.

since you mentioned that you dont like long aeg's and according to you, you are "skinny". i would recommend a TM XM177E2 it is the lightest gun i've ever handled with the same capabilities and functions as the regular TM M4. dont worry about the barrel wobble because you can correct it using chamber block. a TM P90TR, just change the inner barrel to an M4 barrel. same range as M4 but it has the campactness and not very heavy compared to other aeg's in the market. TM Colt CAR15 is also a good aeg.

i would highly recommend TM because of its toughness.

personally, i like light aeg's because i'm more of an assault type of player wherein i move a lot from places to places. imagine carrying heavy aeg with that kind of playing style you will easily lost your energy by crawling, running, etc....for me the lighter you are the more kills you can gain in a game because of your mobility and of course SKILLS which will come in handy as you play along and learn from other guys that's been playing longer than you are.

good luck and enjoy playing airsoft.

or you could go with the full metal SRC's

but if you want to get them to shoot powerfully you will have to upgrade..

SRC guns suck -- get the Marui M4A1 Gen2 or a CA M15A4 -- the CA's CQB-R is actually quite nice, I liked mine a ton -- metal hopup is a plus.

Basically, don't spend too much on the gun, spend a little extra on BBs (Airsoft Elite, Excel, KSC, or Marui BBs, .25g are more accurate), and have some spare magazines, and you'll enjoy it.

I think the Classic Army M15A4 CQB/r will be out of his range if he's on a budget.

Yea, I've already looked at that guns and its a little much, cool lookin though. To be honest Im not really concerned with power cause all the kids around me have spingers or minis and there arent that many reall airsoft players. And to be sure is the carry handle on the TM XM177E2 removable cause?

Thanks

What? The carrying handle on the XM177E2 isn't removable. But I would recommend these guns based on their prices:

$200-$215: TM FAMAS
$215-$220: TM M16A1
$220-$240: TM M16A2, TM M733 Commando, TM AUG, TM AK47/S/Beita
$250-$300: TM G36C, TM G3-SG1, TM M4A1 New Type
$300-$350: G&G GR16 Carbine, CA M15A4 Series, TM M14, CA G36 Series, CA CA33E and the CA SLR105A1

Man are you gonna own them if they only have springers and minis. Unless they're damn good.

My brother and his friends got some softair minis a while ago and I used his softair walther P22 springer. Me with the P22 VS 3 of them with mini Mp5s, we played for like 5 or 6 hours and I never got hit once. You can just duck those BBs when you have cover ther too slow. Amazingly I could use the sight on the springer at 10 yards so I popped em on in the head every time.

TM M4A1 carbines are good. The new ones have metal recievers?

Anyway, might wanna pick up a TM M4A1, get some mags, and later on down the road if you want something more durable, get a metal body and some other parts for the M4A1, and you'll be set!

I bought 10 of those STAR 30rd mags, and while they don't function reliably in my CA M4A1, they work perfectly in my TM M16A4! Must be a feeding thing.

Nope the new ones don't have a metal reciever. No Tokyo Marui gun does.

If you can I'd try and get to hold some of these guns first. I played CQB with an M4 with full stock and it was no problem, and I was wearing an LBV with mags up by my shoulders. they're not as long as they look in pictures. I just don't care for colapsable stocks because usually they don't look as good and leave your battery or wires visible.

TM G36C for me.

Outranges a same FPS M4, battery lasts forever and its CQB and big enough to look right as an assault rifle.

I sold my M4 RIS as I kept going back to the G36.

Not the G36/E or the G36 the KSK uses. Only the G36K does.
