(oops title shouldn't say AO)

Okay here's my dilema. I'm trying to pick a scope for my whitetail rifle (.270WSM) and I'm looking at 2 bushnell scopes,

Bushnell Elite 3200 Rainguard 3-9x50mm

and

Bushnell Elite 3200 Rainguard 3-9x40mm With Firefly Glowing Reticle

This gun is for whitetail, the ocasional moose hunt, bear, w/e. But mainly for Whitetail. I just can't decide whether I need the Firefly ret more or a 50mm objective lense. The 50mm objective would let in more light for that last hour of low-light hunting and give a larger FOV for that running monster buck in the thick swamp. And then the Firefly ret would also be nice. The scopes are both in the same price range, I won't consider the price difference of $20CDN. Is there even another scope with both features in the $300-$400CDN range?

Could someone with experience with these features help me out. How helpful are these features?

PS: Whith these scopes can you put them on 3x for in the bush and switch to 9x when you get out and be confident it'll be shooting in the same spot?
