Some sort of landing vessel docking at a Wasp(?) class carrier (Just my uneducated guess).

your exactly right. I was on the LPD5 USS Ogden, gator navy, and those amphibious ships have backs that open(well deck) that allow launching of amtracks, LCAC's and other amphibious vehicles for assualt on beaches and so on.
