It's a Ukrainian Mi-8. They've got loads of other choppers down there as well, such as Mi-24s and Mi-26s.
I've got some more pics of the Mi-8 if you want.

Seems alot of these Sweedes are carrying a bit of facial hair......whats the deal with that? Seems like alot more practical idea for me.....

well practicality is everything, if your on a long patrol, then you start growing a beard a little bit, plus it's easier then having to shave there, if you cut your self, an infection could take hold, it is a very warm humid place afterall, I liked though;-)

Yep, it's probably a lot more practical. As moughoun said, shaving in the jungle isn't exactly a bright thing to do. And I just think overall that we're pretty leniant on these kinds of things, at least when they soldiers are on an international mission.

Thanks. :) They're gonna be out for another two weeks. It's a joint operation between the Irish and Swedish forces, and one of the biggest QRF missions so far.
Please do post.
As you wish. :)

dont know about the swedes but its sops for the british army not to shave in the jungle for the reasons stated a tiny shaving cut can turn into a real infected mess in that enviroment.
awesome pics aswell
