Greetings all!

I would really appreciate some advice on the most Realistic looking Airsoft Guns in terms of components , weight , Cosmetics.
The three catagories that i am interested are Shotguns , Submachine gun and Assualt rifle. If there is some models that include great performance as well, then prioritise these first.
Also some advice on where to purchase these products in the UK would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all your help.

I think it's fair to say that the Systema PTW will win in the 'assault rifle' category :D

I like the ICS M16/M4 rifles in terms, because you can crack the gearbox open, by removing the strip pin...

ICS m4 is one of the most realistic M4's...forward assist actually works..

And how is WA The most realistic 1911? They're guns usually look asianized with flashy crap all over them.

The ICS M16s have the wrong lenght receiver and like all the "standard" airsoft M16s, the receiver is also too wide. Systema is definitely the most realistic AEG closely followed by the Guarder steel AKs.

ICS mags are by themselves the same length of a normal 30rd AR15 magazine, but due to the position of the feed lips in the airsoft gun, they protrude (SAT word, kids!) from the bottom of the rifle too far. :(

I like the idea of the ICS guns coming apart in a very similar manner to an actual AR15 though.

I would recommend looking into Classic Airsoft guns for assault rifles. Those that have blowback action will give you the "feel." Other than that, realism goes to the M16 series Systema Professional Training Weapon. For the old school AEG, I'd recommend the Hurricane and new Guarder series of metal bodies just because the list of features is longer than the rest. Systema bodies go in Second. ICS bodies in 3rd. But, for a whole AEG set, I'd recommend the ICS M4 at the top of the chain just because their list of features outnumbers the rest in its class.

The AEX/UnCompany M14 is identical in weight and length to its real counterpart; internal parts are also similar. It is "liquid charged" (gas in magazine), select fire, blowback. Almost any real steel accessory can be attached with little or no modifications (with obvious exceptions).

Unfortunately, the bolt catch does not operate and the performance could be better (in terms of power). I also replaced the rear sight assembly as the stock one lacked the proper marking; the receiver also does not have accurate markings.

Dude, the real M4 guns don't have gears and spring that needs their tension to be released.

Um...yeah..what I was saying is that there's an actual use of the Forward assist on the ICS version unlike the cosmetic crap on TM,CA,GP,GG,etc.

I saw that before. I was thinking that UNCompany sold a complete M14E1 and not the M14, but I guess not.:-(
