I'm new here so I don't know whether the picutre be posted before.
I saw it somewhere else and curious about 5W of the event.
I can not identify from the shoulder sleeve insignia (fallen soldier) who were the soldiers surrendering to whom.
Is it for real?

Thanks a lot! For all replys and welcome.
So it's a drill, as I assumed before.
But which unit are they? Anybody identify the SSI?

Jesus xjym don’t scare me like that. Glad that’s a training photo. Your first post with a picture that had my heart skip a beat.

So sorry that I freaked you out. I'm not meant to.
I'm astonished also when I see this picture. But then I thought it's not real because I never read anything about POW like this. I posted it here just for some proof, and some knowledge about the insignia.

Why would you be astonished to see a dead American soldier? Many have died before, many will die in the years to come. Are American soldiers not supposed to die?

I don't think so. But might be a 4th unit.

I'm astonished simply because I never saw this kind of picture before. There's no sign of fight on the all four men, especially on the surrendered and the fallen. And I didn't read anything related to such an event recently.

Finally I found more pictures on *****images.com. Yeah, they are 4IDs according to the caption. But I still doubt the shoulder patch. It's not like 4ID's.

P.S., the Iraqi soldiers are from NIA(New Iraqi Army), not ICDC.

It looks like a field artillery brigade patch, maybe the 75th FA BDE.

Ok first thing ducimus shut the hell up you little bitch! Second thing of course American soldiers die the only reason I was shocked was I could not believe that I had not seen this photo before or that the photo was taken. Thirdly I only thought that I was real for a second the American laying on the ground his body is not limp and there is no blood. So I thought that it was training. Fourth thing shut the hell up you little bitch!

I think that's it. Thanks.
Wondering whether soldiers from Field Artillery qualify for the job?
