Anyone here ever used them?

I just aquired some (70 or so) and haven't had the chance to use them, was just wondering how dense the smoke is and such.

Enola Gay's smokes (larges) are quite lame. Just enought smoke to fill an middle size van with relatively thick smoke. I'd say those are totally useless in open air. Compairing to MIL-class screening smokes, rats fart in desert

Smokes color particles can mess your suit quite bad. We have had 50 of them and so far ~10 of them has "exploded" in users hand, causing green snowsuits and so on.

Definitely not worth of 4 euros / each

To be exact, all pyrotechnic smokes are more or less toxic. But if you dont directly inhale a smoke from Enola gay smoke, you don't need to worry.

there is another alternative. 10,000 cu feet - superiorsignal.com - pull pin like device - pb200 - chemical reaction gets it goign - IE no flame.

they also sell a lightable - one - explained below

now the cheapest way to go is get their lightable - SEWER TESTING one for about $3.50 wholesale - 40,000 cu feet or if you buy direct you get a 40% discount of that price in a $500 plus buy with resale license. with a resale license - however you have to light em and they do emit a large flame where as the porange smoke signals are no flame all ifn the can and char anythign within a few feet of the can - the paint peels off these babies they got super hot however I have never seen anything ignite around them

the orange smoke signals are about 300,000 cu feet. so for your money you get alot alot more. the pull pin ignites the magnesium that starts the internal burn in the can

ok that is a total rip off. Basically you get a link to a skydiving - palce that sells them for 50 bucks or more per a pop - these same skydiving smoke signals are made by - superiorsignal for $28

I ahve a source for expired smoke marine signals - they less then half that cost each and put out much more smoke. The thinkness of the cardboard sleeve that encases the material that generates the smoke is much thicker the larger the signal becomes whereas the thin metal can allows for a great material and thus more smoke,

300,000 ft^3 is roughly 66'x66'x66', or a little over 20 yards cubed. That's still a lot of smoke, espeically when you figure the drift will disperse it even more.
