can anyone identify the vehicle for sure from the looks of the shadow or the sound of the engine?

Shadow looks like a Humvee. Notice the turret shadow on the trees after it hits, and a 5-ton wouldn't have gotten over the "crater" as fast as this vehicle did, or even take that turn like they did.
Dunno, could be wrong though.

You can distinctly hear the Turbo on the truck, makes me believe its a f Ton, AKA ML. I don't think the Humvees have turbos.

some humvees have turbos some dont. there is a 6.2L, 6.5L, and 6.5L turbo version, i should know
edit: also I think almost every new humvee has the 6.5L turbo in it to deal with the added weight of the uparmor that come sfactory direct nowadays
edit: the height of the cab and the shadow make me think its a humvee although its hard to get a judge of height

its a humvee, if you look at the shadows you can seen where it slopes down in back + the turrent in the middle.

It looks like one of the new up-armored humvees with the turret fully protected. I know there is a picture of one such floating around this site. Saw it in a thread no more than a week ago. Convoy leaving Saddam's palace in Baghdad, female inside the turret.
Can anyone find a link?

I second the opinion that its a truck. It looks like the camera is just sitting on the dash, and the dash looks about the same height off the ground as the roof of a humvee.

Anyone know the author of this vid? Perhaps a definite answer. I did not know the humvees were coming with turbos now. I still stand strong on my original guess :)
