Military Status of Members

Many of the postings on the forum are obviously well-thought out and factual, but several are rather sophomoric. I thought it would be interesting to see what the make-up of the membership is if it hasn't been done yet.

I like taking part in political discussion on this site, because people on here are well informed. I'm a student (international relations aka war & peace), so does that make me a wannabe?

I think this forum is an excellent resource for students, historians and military gearheads so I've added "None" as an option for those who aren't in the military and aren't planning on joining. I was just curious to see how many members had some military experience.

Wannabe I guess.Although I don't post around acting like I know more than I do or present myself as a real military person.....at least,I try not to....Have to take care of some stuff before I go to the recruiter.

I spend a lot of time researching, and I plan on enlisting in about two years. I try to the best of my ability to seperate fact from opinion, and I always try to say, "I'm not for sure on this..."

Current reservist and Former Active Duty Marine. Always have been in the Air Wings in one form or another. currently hold the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6).
