So Torino games are now officially closed. It will be China in 2 years, then Vancouver and as a vancouverian I'm damn glad my city has that honor. I'd like to post a picture thread of this beautiful city so anyone who hasn't yet got acquainted with Vancouver may do so. (thread is a little slow so be patient)

I'm watching the closing ceremonies right now. It's very... um... "Italian." All they need now is someone smoking a cigarette and riding a bicycle with a basket of tomatoes.

Saw the Canadian part. Pretty nice. I did roll my eyes a bit when Avril Lavigne took the stage. You can tell that the suits were like, "Hey, let's get Avril out there! The kids, they go crazy for the Avril!" They brought the Natives out beforehand--I would have much rather listened to some traditional Native music, instead of some random pop song about lost love and a broken heart (and what does it have to do with the Olympics??)...

If we're still in Seattle in 4 years, I'm going to try my damndest to score some tickets to some events.
