New kevlar helmets?

I heard on the news today that there is a new kevlar helemet that the US army is getting to protect from IEDs better. Does anyone know what this new helmet is called and where I could buy one?

Supposedly the Army has started getting these but not the Marines. I want to get my brother one before he leaves for Iraq and any help you could provide would be great.

This is a site collecting money to buy marines these helmets, but I cant find any info on the model number.

According to the interview I listened to, there is a new helmet. Unless they were just talking about padding and I misunderstood.

I think they're talking about putting the new 4 point and pad system that the ACH\MICH has in the old Kevlars.

There is an add on system of ceramic plates that will attach to a modified helmet cover. This will be fielded soon, to turret gunners. It's not feasable for anyone else, IMO, because it restricts vision a LOT.

there is a new helmet its called the ATTACK and its made by an islaeli company...helmet weights like 2 pounds supposed to be the lightest helmet

That's why their working on a support system that fits with the ruck sac to suppor t the weight while walking with heavy weight... can see it now.. I'll have to hear all of the stories about how someone was training with the US Army here in EU and the Americans were using robotics to support their massive amounts of gear, and body armor...
