Anyone know much about the Glock carbine in .223cal supposedly coming out. We have a SWAT competition coming up in a month and they are supposed to bring one out to show off. We'll see if they do, and if so I get pics I'll post them. The only thing I was told about it was they put a 300yd range up in Smyrna Georgia, and at least one version is chambered in .223cal.

Was curious to know if anyone else had heard anything?

You are not mixing with the new Beretta carbine in .223, are you?

nah, theres been a persistant rumour among glockophiles that they are developing some kind of ubercarbine that will save mankind from any and all threats and wax your car at the same time. Unfortunatly GLOCK has been rather tight lipped on the whole thing

I first heard it from the instructor of my armorer school about a year or so ago. Said that it was real hush hush and he even didn't know anything but that they put a range in at the Smyrna GA location and that it was .223 cal and maybe a pistol caliber. As for the SWAT competition, the factory rep coming out is supposed to be bringing one to shoot as well as the old crowd pleaser,.. the Glock 18. That's all he apparently said to the rangemaster and would not elaborate. As far as being the best thing ever I don't think that will happen. I just don't see them making anything on the scale of major armament thats already out there, carbines not pistols. If he does bring it to the competition then I'll be sure to post the pics ASAP. May get a scoop on the deal LOL!

Yeah, wasn't talking about the beretta by the way. Seen that one before and this is supposed to be branded with a Glock logo.

I suppose that what you´ve heard, just might be true.

Glock must have saved huge amounts of money from the " product-evolment " of their Gxx pistol-range, that must have been a huge goldmine for the G-company over the past decades.

The innovation that created Glock pistols and having the resources to develope the revolutionary-carbine "for the struggle against the terror of the 21st century", might just end up as a success.

Exactly, we can't wait to see it. If its anything like their pistols I'll be in line to buy one.

Well the rep showed up at the competition today and low and behold, no promised carbine. "Super secret" still, and he doesn't know anything about it other than there is the rumored prototype out there somewhere.

Classic bait and switch,.....boo on Glock.

Hah-hah-haa, maybe this is the "Glock Carbine" you people have been talking about: at least this particular model has many.. Umm.. "rifle-like" qualities.
