Hi folks,
Couldn't find a thread with enough information (used the search) and I couldn't find a very good site with reviews.
Can you guys who have the IRACK tell me what you think about it.
My Bro has the Strike, but I'm wondering how the IRACk holds out for it's price.
I would be using and abusing it a lot and I will be carryng it a lot with a 3-day pack. Any thing that makes the IRACK bad for ruck-carry? ( like the back harness?)
Thanks a lot in advance!
Percell
ps: I won't buy eagle, so please don't mention them ( I just don't like the feel and look of the gear)

I have used the original RACK for years, and added the back panel recently. I love it, and have no issues with wearing rucks; I just ordered an I-RACK and will be testing that out when it arrives.

I have the IRACK and think it is good to go. Especially if you compare the price with Strike, Paraclete, etc.
I'm a "weekend warrior" (Army Reserve) so I didn't want to spend about 300 bugs for a High Speed Rig. The quality of the IRACK is good enough. I didn't wore it in the field very much, but no complains until now.

I think I'd go with the IRACK.

Sure is inexpensive. I've owned alot of issue SDS stuff before, and they make good quality gear.
I do alot of hiking, mountain climbing, and all that, and I wear my STRIKE chest rig during these treks, with an ALICE pack. I don't care much for all the damned buckles on the BHI STRIKE rig. (the "Woo Jin Stealth" buckles creak and rattle more than the Duraflex and other USGI ones do, for some reason)
Another thing I like about the IRACK over my BHI rig, is the lack of shoulder padding. I don't usually have much weight in my rig, usually ammo and some survival crap, maybe 30lbs total. The padding doesn't help alot, and I don't care much about shoulder aches, it happens anyway. The padding on my rig gets in the way of the ruck straps, just generally bulking up and pushing the edge of the straps into my neck, which isn't good when you're on a ridge 5,000ft above a damn river and you can't breathe with all that on.
I'd personally go with the IRACK. Can't beat it for the price anyway.

I had both I RACK and BHI STRIKE chest rig.

Thanks guys for the pics and advice! I thik I'll be getting the I-rack then. One more :D ; Does the side zipper work good or do you suggest adding a side-release buckle on the back?

Buy also the "Super RACK Harness". It's better than the standard harness.

I haven't used it much yet, but it does feel very strong. However zippers do wear out if you use them extensively... so a buckle can come in handy...

Does that zipper turn to sh*t in sand, or does it chew up most of it?
