Just wondering, Could you use a 3x mag. with a pvs14 and an aimpoint? I dont see why you would, but just curious if you could.
Thanks,

You COULD but you would just have to have enough rail space to do it. I am visualizing an M4 and I think it can be done...it would just be bulky.

Could be pulled off if you had an ARMS SIR system, LMT MRP, or anything with a solid rail going from charging handle to front sight assembly, me thinks.

Yea with the right mounts it's not a problem. I think they only reason it's not more common is that the magnifiers are so damn expensive.

As long as you have a rail handguard, you can use a LaRue Aimpoint mount with a LaRue quick release magnifier mount and then use a LaRue PVS14 mount and mount the PVS14 in the front of the Aimpoint. This really limits your movements... it is best to use your PVS14 with your PEQ2.
Sounds like a LaRue ad... bout you can use ARMS mount, GG&G or Precision reflex and do the same job, I just think LaRue makes the best mount on the market right now.

Believe it or not, the ACOG also works with the PVS14. I'll get a picture and get it posted ASAP. However, its not really worth the effort. Like SMG Lee said, it's better to use the PEQ2.

Thanks to all, I was just curious, I would never have it set up like that, just wondering about the possibility.

Alright, here's the pictures that I promised. They both work decent, but once you take the NOD's off, the ACOG is too far forward to use, so it's not worth the effort. But here you go:
ACOG:

The Reticle's a little blurry, I couldn't get my camera to focus on it. But it works really well, it's just impractical.

The Aimpoint-PVS-14 combo doesn't look too bad. I woulda expected it to be a bit more blurry.
ABNINF, are you using the lowest setting on that Aimpoint? I'd imagine the highest would look like a big angry green tomato.

Yeah, I was using the third setting I think, even at the 4th setting, it's a little bright, and all the way up and you can't see anything. The best way to co-witness, is to use the Aimpoint and PVS14. The ACOG worked well, but you can't use it if you reattach the 14 to your helmet. You can move the Aimpoint up and down the rail system without really losing your zero, but I'm not sure about the ACOG, I'll have a chance to check that out here soon. With the Aimpoint, you can just take the 14 off and continue to use it. My camera had a hard time taking the pictures, so they're not a true representation. They both worked fairly well.
