Interesting to see the Germans conducting maneuvers with the South Africans.

Does anyone know if there's any truth to the stories I've heard that a lot of NATO countries use SA for aircraft exercises?

Thanks for the pics guys. But pardon my noobish question though ... I've always wondered how vulnerable those huge tires are on armoured vehicles. Will a shot from a handgun punture those tires, or will it take something more powerful (say, a shot from an M4 assault rifle), before they get punctured? Will smaller-caliber rounds just bounce off by the way?

Most tyres on armoured vehicles have a runflat system inside them. Not sure what the newer ones are but when we had Ferret scout cars and Saladin armoured cars it consisted of a very thick rubber rim type affair inside the tyre. It was rigid enough to support the vehicle should the tyre lose it's pressure and allow it still to move in a fashion
