I'm pretty sure that people from any branch can qualify as a Ranger, it just doesn't necessarily mean you serve in the Rangers. As I recall the winning team of the Army Ranger Challenge last year (or was it 2002?) was made up of a Ranger and a Marine who had gone through Ranger School.

Correct, those are pictures from RANGER SCHOOL grads and often the Marines will send some squid to go get a tab. Dont get mixed up with tabbed rangers and scrolled rangers.

Yeah, on ESPN I saw that a few years ago a Marine teamed won the Ranger endurance test thing where they have to do all those different courses over the course of several days. Does that mean that that particular Marine went through Ranger school? Curious.
