What type of jacket is that, do you have a link where I can check it out.

The jacket is a 3-layer breathable design rip-off of the US Gen. 1 ECWCS Goretex Parka. You can find it on eBay ... sells for appr. 70-100 US$ ...

Your a Army Cadet(you got a Cadet capbadge), haha..... Didn't you BS you were a Calgary Highlander Reservist or some *censored**censored**censored**censored*.

The Army has issued me a lot of CADPAT kit an other stuff, an I got more CADPAT on the way.

What type of jacket is that, do you have a link where I can check it out.

I bought the jacket a year back, it's okay. It's off cadpat a bit and doesn't really go with my uniform. But it is completely silent when I move so I figure it'd be good for recce patrols. It isn't as waterproof as I would like it to be however.

They really messed up the distribution of CADPAT. I'm in the Air Force and I got completely kitted out before some Army units. The funny this is I only wear flight suits. Typical.

That's because the Air Force took money from it's own budget to kit out it's personnel. Mainly because it wanted the nice pocket covered buttons which ultimately was it's idea.

From what I was told (by those who designed CADPAT) the whole button thing was so that techs wouldn't scratch the aircraft canopies when they were cleaning them.

It was also so that if the buttons fell off they would stay in the shirt and not on the runway to be sucked into an engine.

Acer Acerpori my friend... I understand how cool it is to be a cadet and to want to be just like real soldiers, just be careful how you present yourself in public (especially on an international forum). Some people don't realize the difference between a cadet's "experience" and those of full time or reserve soldiers. Something I just noticed.. kind of funny actually, is that in most of those pictures there is something pink.. cat food, blanket, glasses.. are you trying to tell us something? Hehe
