about 2:20 into the vid G. Edward Griffin is speaking about the U.S.
"......As americanism, ....if you pill off the label you find some much simularities to (its edited right here) what we were fighting against when we were fighting Communism, Nazism, Facism etc...."
about the part were he says "Simularites" the clip fades into another portion of his interview to make it seem like its one sentence. Trying to make it sound like he's comparing the US to Facism and Nazism.
Nice Windows Movie making editing.
some portions are interesting though
either that, or im just paranoid

Yes...you can gleam a couple good tidbits out f his drug induced paranoia but not much...
I looked at the trailer and saw little that impressed me, but some of the sound bites do strike close to home in regards to my way of thinking.
Personally, I think the IRS is a joke, as is our tax code. We need to do away with both and start from scratch. I do think that since the advent of the Federal Income Tax we have seen levels of corruption, whether it be simple things like dumping millions into pork barrel projects to get votes or special interest to billions misspent producing weapons platforms that get canned. Too much money is in the hands of the federal government...a government that has proven itself incapable managing such super funds.
I mean, its hard to see the difference between M.C. Hammer and the Feds when it comes to spending. :)

Ya never know what danger lurks under your bed at night, My worse fear was evil cannabalistic dust bunnies.
My solution was to get a water bed and place it directly on the floor no dust bunnies are ever under there no more.......rofl
nor creeping facism, no IRS agents, Humm maybe that is where I lost my aluminum hat?

C'mon BarkingSquirrel, where did I say I agree with the fascism comments?
I do agree on comments like "In 1913 the United States was a Free Nation".
I agree on comments made by Congressman (R) - Ron Paul for instance. There is more control this day in the hands of the government than EVER before...and not for the good of this country either.
And yeah, I can see why some people (right and left) think the United, the United States is walking a freaking fine line between what we considered the true America and fascism:
Fascism is associated by many scholars with one or more of the following characteristics: a very high degree of nationalism, economic corporatism, a powerful, dictatorial leader who portrays the nation, state or collective as superior to the individuals or groups composing it.
I bold the first 2 simply because that is what we have right now, like it or not. The third is questionable...we certainly have a President who wants as much power as possible, especially with him asking for Line Item Veto.
Does anyone think George is Adolph, Benito, or Joseph? No, but you do not NEED him to be so to qualify for the "fascist state" label.
No, I do not think we are a fascist state, but some people do, and not Conspiracy loons either. More and more mainstream folks from both sides of the political fence are questioning where this country is headed.
I do too, though I do not think its the path this video seems to suggest it is going.
Like I said, the video looks like a bunch of crap. Though there are a couple things I agree with...which I have stated here.
Give me some of James Madison's readings to cuddle up to, to remind me of what we were, and I'll be fine...
