Nice video, typically french though!
I only saw one reference to Britain (a flag at a memorial). We were only involved in both world wars from start to finish and were actually within range of the german bombers throughout the course of the second world war! I guess the years prior to the 1900's still weigh heavily on the French!
But im not bitter!

Don't sweat it britsig. There is no belittling of the british meant here. The song "Les Ricains" was written by French singer Michel Sardou in 1967, during the Vietnam war, as a reminder to the younger French hippie generation that their virulent anti-americanism was misplaced.

Michel Sardou is one of the very few non-idiotarian artists in France. He often made songs that are scating indictments of the French propensity to think too highly of themselves. That earned him some heavy flak in his days. Nontheless, Michel Sardou is one of the greatest French singer of the 20th century.

Avary, thanks for setting the scene. I was ignorant as to the origins of the song! Sorry if my comments seemed a little out of place, i thought you were one of those americans that believed they won the war on their own (WHICH IS ONLY A SMALL FEW I MIGHT ADD), not taking anything away from those Americans that fought in WW2.
Good post. Sorry to hear about those 5 Canadians hit in Afghan, im off their myself in 3 weeks!!
