In my country it is now typical to create multiple SF unit's. Off course no one cares that they are badly trained and commended, the taxpayer will always pay.
Another damn unit and another $$$ thrown away.............

Military Police's OSZW aren't SF units (except OSZW Warszawa).

Edit:
btw. I don't think that we have too many SF units. GROM, Formoza and 1 PSK in the army, regional SPAPs and central ZOA in the Police and Fifth Departament in the ABW. It that really too much?

In fact the whole Military Police is being re-formed to face present threats and meet modern battlefield requirements (such as protecting the supply convoys, foreign close protection of VIPs, arresting dangerous individuals, etc.) This is our homework from Iraqi mission and it is being done right now. Also - supporting police and other services during terrorist attack. You call it 'waste of money'?
Ok - but it's just your opinion.
And where did you get that 'poorly trained' stuff from?
Your personal experience maybe?

They arn't SF there was a plan to train all 5(someone correct me i am not sure about numbers) in some aspects of counter SF abilities. From what i remmber atm. only one unit will be trained in couter SF/saboteur tasks. This units had a bad fame mostly because they are considered units full of "backpacks" aka peoples that got in to unit due to connections not real abilities.

Something about the OSZWs:
OSZW- Oddzial Specjalny Zandarmerii Wojskowej (Military Police Special Unit). Currently there are 3 such units:
- OSZW Warszawa- the smallest and probably the most 'special' among the OSZW units- it's tasked primarily with close protection of the highest officials of the army and the ministry of defence, both in Poland and on foreign missions.
- OSZW Minsk Mazowiecki and OSZW Gliwice are large, battalion-sized units of the Military Police. The name "special Unit" is misleading in this case- as one of the MP officers explained they're called "Special Units" not because they pretend to be a copy of GROM or other SF units, but because their tasks and structure is totally different than other MP units (Polish MP is basically the army's investigation force, without any larger units). As Tony6 mentioned, the creation of these units is an effect of the Polish experiences in Iraq, where ordinary soldiers were tasked with the police-like jobs: manning checkpoints, close protection, riot control etc. It became clear that a dedicated MP unit would be much more effective in such missions.
Each OSZW consist of 4 (IIRC) companies and can fulfill a wide variety of missions- from investigation work to riot control. They are also capable of supporting the Polish civil service during emergency situations like terrorist attacks or natural disasters. OSZW Gliwice was one of the few military units actively involved in the rescue operation ofter the Katowice exhibition hall collapse. The MP command likes to compare the new units to the French Gendarmerie or Italian Carabinieri. There are also plans for creation of another OSZW batallion(s).

Once I read that they will get APCs. I think one company in each unit. Anybody knows anything about that ?

uhmmm,I have never heard about that....I really doubt our MP receive any Rosomak's or anything like that. Only light armoured vehicles like Dzik.
