Have you had a look at SORD? or Plat-a-Tac?
SORD makes some top notch stuff, and I know Plat-a-Tac does Kiwi Cam.

PLCE issue chest rig will do all that and it's in (Brit) DPM.

Perhaps the Classic Arktis Chestrig, I've seen Belgian soldiers in vehicles use it quite often.

The Wyvern NI vest is designed for vehicle use I think. It has nothing on the back (no large utils, male buckles etc), and can carry 6 mags, 2 water bottles and has a webbing loop for attaching a mic/PRR.

Looks like a pretty crappy knock off of the PLCE vest. Is it IRR?

Is IRR-Infrared-resistant ?
If so doubt for 85 pounds it would be.

Might be able to work it with a Rhodesian-type rig. Holds 12x M16 mags. Keep a pocket clear, lose 3 mags, but you can hold a squad/Motorola radio.
MOLLE gear may be the best way to do it, so you can just buy the pouches you need and put 'em on however it fits you.

Anything that is thicker than 2 magazines plus armor is a pain in the ass, at least in my experience. I'm sort of a big guy though.

If you want a real world piece of kit, the HSG Wasatch plate carrier was designed for use in vehicles. It nworked very well in Afghanistan and Iraq in both uparmors and Toyotas. It has been taken a set further with the inclusion of both interceptor armor and the BALCS soft armor inserts. The ACS-I (for interceptor) holds 10 mags, the ACS-B holds 12 mags.
If you need a plate carrier, the HSG Wasatch has been taken to the next level as well. We dropped the mag capacity to 10 mags changed the way the straps lock up, and padded the shoulder straps.

I've never heard anyone call Wyvern kit that before :) Normally the other way around!

Nothing wrong with the PLCE stuff - it's cheap, it's pretty well made and pusser swaps it if it's bust. My Ops vest has been going since '95 and my chest rig since '93 - they're a bit battered and faded, but they're still IRR and servicable.

If your gonnabe in&out of vehicles, a chest rig really is the only way to go.

^^pictures of my hellcat with pouches on it. The hellcat has internal pouches for 5.56 mags, But i'm issued a G3 so I needed extra mag pouches. Looking to replace it with another chestrig without the internal mag pouches or with the internal ones that accept G3-mags.
