Hello,

This si kind of a tutorial/ how to on how to make your own zip cuffs. \

supplies needed: scissors, (glue or epoxy Optional), zip ties,a t ape of some sort (must be somewhat strong not gift wrapping tape)

Now then after looking at pics of many airsoft/RS loadouts I see people with plastic zip cuffs and think that this really can be a cool thing to have. But they can also be very expensive, which is the down fall which is where my idea comes in. While at my local Target browsing aroun i saw a package of a total of like 650 zip ties for $6. NOw only about 200 of these were usable for my project. A PIC of the can I bought

So I purchased these, wen home and tried to figure out a way on how to make thm work since it would take more than 1 zip tie to fit around a hand so i thought of connecting two like
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c255/teddytay17/DSC02727.jpg

Then do the same to another two

Then position them like so
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c255/teddytay17/DSC02728.jpg

Then where they will connect you can glue them for perhaps a better hold, or tape them like so
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c255/teddytay17/DSC02729.jpg

cut the excess off the ends here
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c255/teddytay17/DSC02730.jpg

should look like this once cut http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c255/teddytay17/DSC02731.jpg

Tape up these like so

yes you can order form somewhere, the tape My or may not be strong enough I will try right now, and IF not I could use 90 MPH tape that should hold, but I dont have any right now so

ed it well iam cuffed righ now. and with the way the tape is wrapped, an the amount of tape that is wrapped , it is not gonna come off now i just have to get em off

Why not just put two together to form a cuff?

cause Teh ones I have are 7.5 inches long, and if you have them just partially closed they wil not fit over your hand, but I suppose If you have like 14"+ zip cuffs you could use your idea

You can actually use them ase zip cuffs just as they are. Short ones can be used to join the thumbs together, long ones around the wrist.

But make very certain that if you use them for play, that they are not too tight. You might loose body parts if you cut the circulation for too long.

wouldn't it be easier/stronger if you would use another (smaller) zip-tie to connect the big ones to eachother? Imo it holds better then tape.

or you could just go to home depot and buy the industrial strength two foot zip ties and use one for both hands like all ranger forces do

Ted,

You have the same mouse as I do. Congrats.

Good tip BTW, should be strong enough for airsoft purposes.

i must say i work in a bike shop and thus have had many encounters with zipties and quite frankly 1 medium ziptie is more than enough to hold someones hands together and they're harsh to try and take off (please don't zip tie your hards together unless you have a freind there to cut the zipties off they're leathal things!)
