A Cincinnati Police officer was in a Hamilton County courtroom Thursday morning on allegations he was on the wrong side of the law.
Officer Edsel England is accused of seizing guns from a city home last year.
Instead of turning them in, he allegedly took them home.
On Thursday, an officer with the department's internal affairs at the time of the investigation took the stand and recalled serving a warrant on England's home.
"I spoke to his wife, explained to her why we were there, told her we had search warrants for specific property. With him in the vehicle, we let him out. He said he would show us where the property was," said Barry Ford of the Cincinnati Police Department.
England is facing five separate counts of theft in office.
