I have not finished the book yet so I will not put my input in yet. But what about everyone else?

The move was really good, but nothign beats reading the book. It has much more detail.

the book and the movie were both excellent, like he said, the book goes into more detail

I thought the book was better based just on the accuracy.

Books are almost always better, you just can't cram 24+ hours worth of detailed combat in a 2-3 hour frame.

The book = A
The movie = A-

The book was better in terms of accuracy and depth, I think. The movie was visually very entertaining though.

The movie was very dramatic, but it changed a great deal from reality... Who took what chalk where, who was with the ground convoy, etc.

Books are always better.

One day, I will be a published novelist, and I will send autographed copies to all of my militaryphotos.net friends.

Likr NcDeuce said, the books are always better. But the film wasn't bad. However, wtf was it with all those Hueys about on the screens at the JOC center?

The books a lot better than the movie. The movie is great but the books the best because its a lot more detailed and tells more about the rangers and delta operators before the operation that is shown in BHD the movie.
