It's obviosly some dudas over here can't control them self (hint : Mustamasta ) , and they really have to add something in everybody forum , that doesn't concern military - like blaming governments , or just start a **** war with someone . It's ending with thread hijacking , flame avalanche and stuff . Have an idea to the mods : Why not create a **** / Political Flame forum ? You can keep the General Discussion for stuff like the Comanchee plane , and in ****/Political flame Mustasatmo can disscust how much he hates U.S. government and how long Iraqies will suffer from occupators .
Kust a thought . Don't kill me .
And a little example to it : Mustamasto , you are ****head and a pussy . Just sayin .

Booooo !! No way. Almost every forum (except the ones only for serious people ) they have **** / Flame forum . Look at those for example :

Why not while we at it create a section were the Russian guys can bragg in peace on how great and mean they are and the rest of the world has compleatly misunderstood them and Stalin. And to be sure that they can do that in peace, make it password protected. And also vice versa: they need a secret password to get in here aswell, but we ain't telling them. Hehe...

I have no problem with flame stuff , ok by me . I just don't want to read it in every second topic about Helicopters or stuff , or to be explained by someone in Haiti post , how much French Army sucks .

Now, I take it should be you who would determine which subjects are tolerated? I suggest you learn to see the big picture. Besides, with you in charge this forum would be boring and biased.

What the hell is wrong with you ? You always lookin for something wrong in other , that's just what i am talking about . I have nothing against the flame , i just don't want to read it in not connected posts . But i see that's a bad idea allready .
And Elmo , before looking on others , look at yourself .If it helps you , i just made a jok about Mustamato . But unlike Mustamato , that brings sometimes good pictures and information , what did you do for the forum lately ? What's your contribution ? The last thing i care is people nationality , but i care when people are not ok .

Contradiction and freedom of opinion are the basic rules of democracy, which eventually creates an equilibrium, or stable society, which can handle these contradictions. You haven't heard of this? All the civilized nations base their social control on this.
I'm not trying to find anything wrong in others, I simply disagree sometimes. The notion of wrong implies to me that you think there is a thing called right, or truth, in politics. Very scary.
As for my contribution, you can read all my posts but because my opinions apparently annoy you, I don't think it's a good idea.

Well, first of all I haven't written much in 'strictly photos' section. Only one post, which was informative and concerning the Iwo Jima flag raising photo. Does it read somewhere that you are required to post images in other sections? No.
Who do you think you are to act as an authority of some sort?
Besides, most of the topics in other sections are very much political in nature. If somebody celebrates some killings as a victory of some sort, others may think differently. I haven't used any abusive language, not even swearing, which I think, constitutes flaming.
Disagreement under political topics is not thread hijacking.
Even if a thread about a photo gets carried away from mere technical details of photography, it is because IMAGES can be really POLITICAL.

I agree with Elmo. The very nature of politics is disagreement. Have you ever seen a political body at work, such as the American Congress or the British Parliament, either live or on TV? It can get pretty vicious. I don't see how much different these Discussion Forums are from that. Not eveyrone has to post pictures. Those members that do post them provide ample fodder for discussion for the rest of us should we wish to do so. If you look at the main index, it says the following, and I quote:

Post photos and discuss them.
Military History and Tactics
Discussion of military conflicts and strategies employed
Maybe I'm fighting a little dirty, but I've learnt that it's not always possible to fight fair. Particularly not if I want to get my point across.

Is that going to be directed at the rest of us who haven't posted more than one or two pictures in what appears to be your Forum?
If you'll look a little bit, you'll find that not only have I posted pictures, but participated in the ensuing discussions of said and other members' pictures.
