Yeah, also the US Government paid a certain grant to each Japanese POW that was caught and released after WWII. No US POW ever got anything.

If you can read Japanese you can find a great deal of articles about how Chinese and the rest of the world make up the lies "rape of nanjing".
they will tell you their own version of the war and how it can be justisfied.

Indeed, most Japanese youth do not know the WW2 history, especially on the war against china.

It's completely inappropriate to call it the "rape" of Nanking. Nanking had been asking for this. She had dressed provocatively, and had voluntarily gone to Japan's room after a night of drinking. What did she expect? Plus, Japan drove her home, and she never mentioned anything about "rape" until Russia found out she'd snogged Japan, and was all like "oh Nanking, you're such a whore..."

It's my policy to make jokes in poor taste on a regular basis - sorry if I bent any out of shape. Some things are too nasty not to joke about...

It's true about Japanese youth being shielded from their own history. As I understand it, it's nearly omitted from their history books through high school. What they do get is very watered down. Anybody have 1st hand info on this?

BTW, Shouldn't this be moved over to the history forum?
