If that were my section bunched up averaging 1 dork per linear foot along that wall.....sporatic fire would be the least of our problems......section and platoon command would be executing us for stupidity

Yeah, it's like they're poorly trained, badly paid and unmotivated or something! Still pretty well equipped and armed tho, even if they do have a weird assortment of weapons! Wonder if they all get training for each type of weapon, or whether they're told to take one and work it out for themselves during combat?

Not federal police.... they carry M4 and mp5s
can anyone id that gun?

El Guapo, I've been watched your posts about Brasil (and I thank you for that!), but, I'm sorry to disagree with you. Actually, they are federal policemen, from Polícia Rodoviária Federal (Federal Higway Patrol), GPE (Grupo de Policiamento Especial - Special Operation Group). Check tihs link: http://www.dprf.gov.br/2003/ver.cfm?link=gpe.

About the gun: I think it is a Carabina Taurus - Famae CT .40. For more information, http://www.taurus.com.br/policiais.php# (only in portuguese). This weapon is being used also by São Paulo Police and others State Police Departments.

Abraços!!

It is not a FAMAE CT.40, the problem is, this weapon is different - check the muzzle breake and collapsible stock. Maybe a other FAMAE variant?

BTW - can anyone explain me why the US flag at their right shoulders is placed in opposite direction - the stars should be placed at left side of the flag, shouldn't they?

the 'union' (the stars) are supposed to be pointing forwards always. life if the flag is on a flagpole and carried by a soldier. :)

Remov, the best picture I've found about this weapon is this one http://www.servipol.com.br/images/desfile3.jpg.(The first police officer from the left is carrying the CT-40, although the picture isn't good, I thinl it's possible to see it).

I have a brazilian magazine called "revista Magnum", number 76, that has a lot of pictures of the CT-40, with the collapsible stock and the muzzle breake as you noticed, but I don't have a scanner to send you these pictures and the magazine's site (www.revistamagnum.com.br) doesn't have pictures of that number . .

Thanks woot !!!

About our troops, we're going to wait for the next three months! When they're expected to arrive there and lead the UN troops - that is what brazilian media is reporting.
