I have a question for m4 RIS/RAS/SIR owners. If I mount a G&P PAQ-4 replica over the front rail, do I need a riser mount to put an Eotech on the upper receiver flat top rail?

i think you should need, to it will obstruct a lot of the view, IF i haed a PEg I would try it, but I dotn have one (weel, dotn knwo where it is ) but I have an eotech, and it is kinda low

Seiran-thanks, but that is an AN/PEQ-2 not a PEQ-4. . .

Yea I know. I just had that one lying around, and when I checked google not much came up.

It would be in view but it wouldnt affect your ability to use it. Ive seen them with PEQ-2A's and they are just fine. PAQ-4's are smaller so it should be just fine. The front sight post is more likely to get in the way.

I just tried it, it doesnt obtruct you vision very much, but that shouldnt matter anyway as you should be using the EOTech with both eyes open (I know I do.).

Oh yeah, about the front sight-I have a flip up mounted on the barrel so it should be okay. Thanks.

Its a TM S-System, I just ordered a Guarder Porsche (Gucci, I know) body and a metal body adapter kit.

The TM S-system was my second quess, I was just wondering about the fixed front sight. I have a TM M4 -system too, currently I'm running and Aimpoint Comp replica on a low mount, RICO A9 (Surefire M900 replica), First Factory short front outer barrel (CQB-R length), and Crane stock on the outside. Accesories ordered from Hong Kong are way cheaper than buying them in the U.S. even with shipping. . .

With a PEQ2 i think it would be hard to look over it unless you have a riser.I can barley see over my peq2 with my redot on a cantilever mount. Basically my red dot is right in the middle of the back of the PEQ2. But i just use 2 open eyes to shoot.

I want to get an EOTech though, what is better, the one that takes the AA's or the one that takes the N battery.

See here is my red dot with the PEQ2 mounted up front. See its aiming into the back of the PEQ

AAs for sure, my Bushnell takes Ns and they are a pain in the ass to find and theyre expensive. I work at Best Buy and they are still 4 bucks a battery with my discount.

My EOtech takes N's but I got a set of two from Radioshack for ony like 2.49, and that wasnt a special or anything
