I remember seying this stuff in "police wild chases" 5 years ago , but this stuff is just .... holly **** . Take a look at this .

I think all cops should be issued with Anti Tank Weapons...

You just never know nowadays....

Plus......a good kill with a Javelin/TOW/MILAN would make for good TV/high ratings

Those poor cops had no idea they would have to pull over an M60 rofl rofl

Also those motorists must have **** their pants at the sight of a tank rolling into their lane.

The guy was an ex Army reservist I believe and got the M60 out of a reserve/ NG armory.

He tried to go through the concrete center divider on the freeway and got stuck. Police approached and opened the hatch. There's controversy over whether or not they actually tried to arrest him before they emptied their clips.

I don't think i would hesitated . How you can arrest someone like that ? Anyway , why he did that ?

I've seen this video before. Actually the police even tried to get AH-1 Cobra helicopters to come over and destroy the tank because their was a Marine base not too far away but for some reason they didn't. Then the tank drove onto the median and got stuck, one of the police climbed on the tank and somehow openned the hatch. The man inside the tank looked up but kept on trying to move the tank. Since the driver wouldn't stop and it wouldn't take too much more for the tank to become free the police officer shot and killed him. Afterwards they found out that the man was drunk at the time and was heading towards a hospital. I can't remember why he was heading there.

They couldn't get Marine Cobra, becouse constitution prevents the use of armed forces in domestic affairs unless there is war or state of emergency is declared by president. Guverner could call up the National Guard though, but one hour was probably not enough.
I rememer something similar happened in Austria once, is there any video of that?

I read somewhere that law (I am pretty sure it's not in the constitution) doesn't apply to the Marine Corp. I could be wrong though.

I think there are only 2 units from US army allowed to act on the soil , is Delta and DEVGRU .
How about National Guard ? Wasn't any base near the place?

I guess they couldn't get all the beroucracy done in time to get started.
