RomanS

no

our film makers in Russia can't afford the money and time to make a tragedy into a 4 hour love story.

I've read a lot of Russian war movies do a better job of dealing with the often ugly side of war and the fact there often isn't a happy ending for the good guys.

Too bad these movies don't seem to be dubbed/subtitled into English and more commonly available :(

Sorry dude but it wasn't.

Рассказ "72 метра", повествующий о гибели подводной лодки, был написан Александром Покровским задолго до того, как случилась трагедия "Курска". Это не пророчество и не совпадение, а, к сожалению, логика вещей...

One more Baltic victim of a modern history?

Likely not only Russian cartoons. Some more Byelorussian, Ukrainian, Armenian, Moldavian, Georgian etc.

For all.
In Russia live not only Russian and as about 160 nationalities.

I wish I could go to Monterey...but alas...I'm not in the US armed forces...I have some mates who went, they thoroughly enjoyed it.

I may have to consider your suggestion.....I am considering picking up a new language......but I think it's likely to be Arabic or Chinese(greater need), a shame really as half of my heritage is Russian/Ukrainian.

The title of the movie your are looking for is called "Blockpost" - "Checkpoint" in english.

man you are so lazy to use a translator woot just like me.

ok here is an english version

Story "72 meters", narrating about the loss of submarine, it was written to Aleksandr Pokrovskiy long before that, as happened the tragedy of "Kursk". These are not prophecy and not agreement, and, unfortunately, the logic of things...
