I think the trucks are Turkish trucks contracted to transport US military gear. The convoy was attacked. Nobody died.

yep thats what i would say too. There are daily about 80 - 100 attacks on the american forces and their allies...i think to cover them in the media would be quite a problem... besides it would send out the wrong signals that Bushs war is not going as planned....i see nearly every week videos
/clips of ambushes on convoys...

but an M109 is a heavy artillery piece, the Iraq war isn't a war for artillery I thought?

I think the trucks are Turkish trucks contracted to transport US military gear. The convoy was attacked. Nobody died.
The truck on the left is a US Army M1070 HET (Heavy Equipment Transporter). For further info on it:

cause it's not a car bomb
doesn't look like IED, since there are 2 trucks involved, I mean less likely
however couple RPG can do the job

I say it was probably a team of insurgents [Ak-47's,PKM,Rpg-7's] with an IED.

Any one have any info on what happend?

According to my info (guy who send me that photo), rpg and small calibre fire. Two drivers died (contract drivers).

terrible....unfortunately I don't think these attacks will stop until the troops pull out of Iraq...until then many more will be ambushed by IED and such...
