Me? A Subaru Impreza WRX STi Sedan

Anyone else love the STi? My dad wants to buy a new car, he's been looking at the Nissan 350z and the Infiniti G35, but I'm trying to convince him to buy a STi.

It's a pretty nice car, comes stock with an turbo, intercooler and a water cooling system. It's 2.5L engine pumps out 300hp!

Hopefully my dad will let me drive it around and invest some money into it. I'd like to finish the turbo by getting a blowoff valve and all the other little goodies.

yeh originally it was $600,000 but one sold was $4 million
to get the car you have to be on a 2 year waiting list, and you must have previously owned a F-50 and F-40 to even be considered. the car has no AC, no power windows.etc. strictly a racing car built for the street

Some info on the AE86 Toyota Corolla "borrowed" from www.ae92.00page.com
http://www.ae92.00page.com/AE92PictureAlbum/yellowae9211_JPG.html

In the mid 80's, the Toyota Corolla Levin and Trueno (AE86) had dominated most of the 1600cc races in the world. This name have been very famous although the racing world. Japan Touring, Macau 1600, even in the Long Beach Race of California. It quickly became an instant success when it first appeared in 1984. It made famous because of its strong chassis and the heart of a twin-cam 16valves engine reached the U.S. shore used in passenger car. The first generation blue top engine has a 120ps while the improved version carries a red top generates 140ps. The horsepower of a 4AGE engine can be easily increase to 200ps with some monor modifications such as cams, computer, air intake and exhaust. The engines used in the Long Beach Grand Prix are all TRD prepared 265ps engines.

The most powerful stock 4AGE 16valves engine was the 170ps supercharged 4AGZE. But it was being offer only in the Japan market on the GT-Z model. The U.S. could only get the supercharged engine in the 1988 MR-2. The AE92 Corolla GT-S was the last Toyota equipped with the 4AGE engine in the U.S. market.

In the early 1990, Toyota have concentrated heavily in marketing Lexus while stopped shipping the powerful little GT-Ss to the U.S. That gave the chance for Honda to sneaked in to the powerful sports compact car market with the Civic Si and Integra. Honda have invested heavily in marketing their small powerful Civic and Integra eventually built up and took over the small sports car market till today. That left us only the AE92 that is compatible with the Honda's 1600cc Civic in the front wheel drive races.

Me and my friends are curretly putting an 4AGE 1600 twin cam 16 valve with TVIS (equivelent to V-Tech) into an 87 Corolla 4-door wagon. The engine and all the goodies came outta a 1989 Toyota Corolla GTS, it was wrote off so we figured we'd give this project a go, this is something definately you wont find driving in North America. We did all the mechanical work on the engine/suspension/fuel lines/brake lines ourselves , this involved a rebuild of the engine and injection rings and all the good stuff. Its getting custom dual exhaust, already has beer converted to rear disk (this was quite the chore). We had to custom make brake lines, fuel lines, new fuel pump, everything on the 4AGE fuel injected motor is mostly electric (even the distributor some how hooks into the wiring harness?).

major diff. the GT-R has 1000hp, top speed 340 M/PH. 0-300 in 11 seconds
thats my dream car, same with the WRX STI

GT-R CAN get up to 1000 but a brand new showroom stock Skyline R34 GTR came "officially rated" at 276hp. Actual numbers averaged 320 or so.

As for my faves, any of the top Japanese cars, BMW M3 SMG, the new M5 when it comes out (V10 baby!!), my 74 Ford truck with a 460 under the hood (If I could afford it in place of the 390 it has...)
