Would you know if the chassis of this based on their tank? I know the tank is based on the German Marder, and that SP Gun's chassis looks suspiciously like the tank's. Thanks!

your suspicions are correct it is a chassis of a TAM which of course is based on the Marder IFV

apprantly when the argie armed forces went on holiday somewhere cold and depressing they took along a sqd of 109s which fell into the hands of those nice people form hereford as there personal taxis :)

You folks need to get real Argentina had 4 to begin with, and 2 of those were capture. No "Squadron" was deployed, nor captured as there wast a one to begin with.

as G-capo says, anyone is operational, due to financial problems. The heaviers helicopters in use are the Super Puma/Cougar and sea kings

the economy improved a bit, but here our "clever" politicians think the armed forces are not important, they only want to be reelected, so they don´t pay atention to them, and the ministry of defense receives very little money.
Many equipment is not operational due to this.

Now, now, that was a long time ago - Brit and Argentine forces have worked alongside each other since then, which can only be a good thing.

yes, of course. In fact, much of the equipment has been and is being modernized (Patagon tank, a modernization of the SK-105, termal cameras to the TAM´s, improvements to the LVTP-7 and LARC 5, among others). But the most important things like the replacement of the mirages, pucarás, etc by modern planes, adquisition of tanks and new artillery systems and other things can´t be done because of budget problems
In long term I assume from what I read and hear that the plan is to equip some selected units (infantry mainly) with the best we can afford, trying to be at the same level of our neighbours, and covering the territory of the country
