I just picked up an M4 Patriot kit from WGC in HK and it's coming to me in a few days-has anyone had any experience with this kit? They say a battery fits in the handguard and it comes with a wiring kit for running a battery from the rear. Any advice/comments on this kit? I read that the PDI kits were kind of a pain. . .

Hispeed- Do you have experience opening gearboxes? If not it's something to consider if you're planning on rewiring the gearbox yourself. It's one of those things that can go really smoothly as long as you dont mess with anything you dont have to. But misplace one piece and you're screwed. IIRC the Patriot has a rounded foregrip so a standard size battery might not fit. You would need to get a "nunchuck" type that's basically two smaller batteried wired together that sit on either side of the barrel. I've always had my internal work done at Airsoft Extreme (assuming you're in the US). They can even put the kit on for you too.

3D-thanks for the reply and info. I am planning to install the Patriot kit on an M4 with a Crane stock and the rear is already wired up and I have the proper batteries. But I was thinking of installing it on a Marui M4 with a foregrip mounted battery because I was planning to use a Guarder SOPMOD stock (ACE type). AEX is great, I go there like everyday-
