View Full Version : New Israeli movie about Lebanon

Those days there is filming of movie , about IDF presence in Lebanon just before the 2000 pullout . Its based on a book called "If there a paradise" (im yesh gan eden) by Ron Leshem who was an officer .
The movie called "Beaufort" (I am not shure if it spelled right) , and the action happends in IDF outpost which was built in Beaufort castle .
The pictures are inside the thread , scroll down to see more (the pictures are copyrighted by the way , I think there is need for specific permission to pass the pictures to another media) . Meanwhile it's looking pretty good .

It looks interesting. Hopefully it will be available subtitled sometime.

Where was it filmed? I am assuming not in Lebanon..

According to Fresh forum, it's filmed in the Golan Heights.

It was filmed on Golan hight , in a place which is named Namrud Castle , which was just like Beaufort , a castle built by crusaders . Here is the original Beaufort in Lebanon :

Unfortunately , during the retreat , IDF troops blow a bit more then they expected , and ****ed up the castle , which is a real real shame for this piece of history .
