I like the cream a lot better than the sticks or compacts, but does anyone know if they sell a cream which has insect repellent in it?
I think someone could make a load of money if they made a camo cream that had insect repellent and maybe sunscreen in it already. it would be a lot more convenient.

It's a very good idea, which is why somebody else already thought of it:

Our stuff had the sunscreen, but no bug repellant.

I prefer the creamed facial paint as well: it's much easier to apply to your face when needed.
The facial paint that comes in sticks and the manufacturer is a company named Wesco (apparently a subsidiary of the infamous Miltec) makes the worst freakin' camo cream ever: it is apparently supposed to include bug repellent but it sure as hell won't work against the little bastards we've got breeding around this country every summer.
Then again , what can you expect from Miltec - the worst manufacturer of military reproduction items ever.

The US camo stick with Forest, and Loom green has worked well from me for more then 20 years... it's all about technique. I only use the dark/light green stick because Nº1 it was free, Nº2 it worked well. I would take the US Army Insect repellant, and put a light coat on my face. This is an oil based repellant so it was clear in color. Then I would take the dark Green color side of the stick, and rub it in the palm of my hand with some of the repellant in it. This would round off the stick head, and make it easier to aply to my face. Once I put on the first color I would repeat for the second color. Then I would reapply the dark color, to fill in all of the gaps, and blend in better the two colors. Because the insect repellant is oil based it would clean off easier with soap and water, and I could take the same stick, and reaply the colors as needed.. which if your in the Infantry, is all of the time.. And on top of all of that, i had the insect repellant to keep away most of the insects.. I would use this method for my hands, and my face, ears, and back of my neck... The problem with those camo squeeze tubes is that the colors are usually too bright.., and the compacts are too damn hard to aplly with the finger method... If you need sun protection you could put a sun block base on first... but I never got sun burnt with all of that camo on my face...

G'day,
I distribute CAMTECH in Poland - I also sell it on eBay, and will post worldwide.
It has SPF 15+ sunscreen "built in" - but no bug repellent.
International:

I can supply entire units - we have few thousand units on hand at any one time.
Sorry for the self-advertising post, but some of the Digs may be looking for this stuff.

Nothing like putting on camo from a stick in the sub-32 weather. Use a lighter to soften the stick, fark the cream!!

I can remember the very first time that I applied camo to my face.. in fact it was one of my DI.. SSG Walker was his name (1986) he was a 82d AB Div Grenada Vet.. any way, he used a lighter to do it.. not only did it leave a 1st degree burn on my face, but I almost never go it all off... I would just stick with baby oil, or another oil based lotion as a bace .. that way you don't burn yourself, and you ahve a better chance to clean it off.. this is just my experience talking here..
