I can't comment on the US or British Army, but as far as the NZ Army goes I must have missed the Rambo classes...I didn't get issued a knife...I got a folding handsaw and a multi-tool

In my opinion, the only reason why you would want to throw a knife is if you were trying to give it away...as you'll likely never see it again, especially if you throw it at a somersaulting suicide ninja in the dark

Knives are for sissies, real men fight with shovels.

These are reproductions of Russian E-tools.

I have my own little Swedish fältspade from the 30's (stockpiled, so in excellent condition), with sharpened axe edges. A bit to big to throw, but it beats the crap out of the new foldable aluminum pos they issue today...

And you try to dig a peehole with a knife! ;)

It's not really hard to learn how to throw a knife. All you need is a cheap ass kitchen knife, a tree and your back yard

Uhm...

Both actually.

Its a really good idea to have a dedicated peehole unless you change position often. ;)

During winter conditions all those "yelloweyes" are kinda a giveaway too!

Or just pee in a bag.... duh.

I'd pay to see you do that in arctic conditions.

I'd even drive you to hospital for free afterwards! ;)

Nope, no knife throwing in SFAS. I threw mine on the table or in my kit a few times.

Hey, keep it in your hand, unless you have two. And remember, you throw, you miss, now he's got one!!
