This is a photo from the sixties of the "corso d'ardimento", something like amix of a specialization course for infantry and a recon course, very impressive for me!

This confidence and courage exercises were still being practised in the late 80's early 90's when I was around those parts (Pisa) and even some of the 1 year conscripts were trying it out. I think the Folgore parachute Brigade had better human material when its ranks (and its 2nd lieutenants) were made up of conscripts.
