Norwegian Naval EOD - Minedykkerkommandoen

Thought these might be good viewing. Somewhat up Ichhabe's alley i reckon...
Anyhow, these guys are from the Naval EOD unit, or "Minedykkerkommandoen" as it's called in Norwegian. It's one of the units in the Norwegian military that has been on most operations abroad, as well as always being occupied in mine clearing and ordinance disposal ops along the Norwegian coast, both land based and as part of MCT's on mine-sweepers.
Most of these pictures are from their deployment to Afghanistan in 2001, with the rest being training and ops in Norway. Part of the unit is currently stationed in Iraq as part of the Norwegian engineer squadron in place.
Definately kudos to this bunch.

These guys do a great job, they are serious specialists. Great pictures, it would be great to see more..

I have worked with these guys in the past and they are as good as it gets.

These pictures only scratch the surface of their professionalism and dedication.

Thanks for comments. Haven't been able to see them in action yet, but i talked to someone who'd been through selection and really heard some gruelling stuff. Incredible that this selection was for something as "simple" as EOD. Gives me the impression that the military puts alot of work in to find the perfect guys for the job.
Not that many more pictures of these guys online.. I'll see if i find some more.
