Both photos share one irregular piece of gear - those big bags right on the boot. Does anyone have a clue what are they meant for? It looks realy limiting and bulky (especially the NOCS bag on top photo), so it must be something realy important.

I think the one in the top photo is a rope bag for rappeling.

It keeps the line from dangling infront of the windows, giving your target early warning of your approach.

I think the leg bag in first and second photos are not the same type, first is for SWAT team, second is Canadian army style

The first (top) one is a ropebag, as explained, and i can't really make out the bags on the bottom pic..

i dont think the second pic has leg bags. it looks like he is wearing baseball catchers leg pads, i have seen swat and other pics with this done before. the things that look like bags are side flaps from the pads.

correct, he is wearing full-legpads, but i've never seen them with "flaps" before so i still suspect he has some kind of pouch there.

Where you get that first pic from? It looks exactly like the guys in the Raven Shield Demo. I'll install the old demo again and take a screen shot and post it up later.
