""The situation is uneasy and I don't know how Iraq will be brought together. At the moment, Iraq is almost close to destruction."

""It would be a blow. The war would be inflamed among Iraqis. It would become a theater for a dreadful civil war, and then the terrorist operations will be escalated, not only in Iraq"

""It is not at the door. Civil war has almost started among Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds and those who are coming from Asia,"

Maybe if he said this a month or so ago it would have been somewhat enlightening. As it is it's old news.

I'd say those seeds were planted long ago by the forces at work I Iraq. Mubarak couldn't give a good goddam about what happens now in a country twice removed from his own borders - in fact he probably prefers stability - all lifelong dictators do.

What gets me is that let's face it, he knows about as much about what's happening in Iraq - and probably considerably less - than that dolt Bush.

For opinion on whether Iraq's problems constitute a Civil War or not, listen to the Iraqis themselves.

President Mubarak said also more things

he said if the US forces go out directly from Iraq it will cause many problems

he also said that the Shiites loyality is to Iran first ! , not to their original countries

Iran and Iraq condemned what he said and demanded him to apology because he exposed the reality and what he said is 100% correct

Bull****, He is loyal to the sunni miniority and thus sais theese things. What do you mean by shiites being loyal to Iran first? Thats a load of crap. Shiites have good connection to Iran but saying that theyre loyal to Iran first is bs,

Well...I guess the only way to see that will be the position Shiites will be taking if/when the US attacks Iran ;)

Until then, it's open to all speculations.

I dont think you will see a united Shiite stance if A war happen.

Anyway, whichever stance shiites make towards a a probable war against Iran sais nothing about their loyalty to thwir own country.

One can onder if shiites who make up the majority of the country are less loyal to Iraq than lets say the kurds who want theyr own country or the sunnis who are killing civilians in mosqs and upheld a totalitarian regime that killed loads iraqs own people.

he said that about the Shiites because the Shiites Sheikhs exist in Iran and because Sheikh Sistani ,who lives in Iraq , is an Iranian himself

President Jalal Talibani of Iraq said as a responce that there is no doubt that the Shiites are loyal to Iraq and that his proof is that many of Iraqi Shiites fought against Iran 1980-1988

the sunnis who are killing civilians in mosqs and upheld a totalitarian regime that killed loads iraqs own people.

thats not true , the Sunni leaders in Iraq condemn these crimes .. who do that are Khawarej from Al qaeda and Baathiests and the death squads

the only way that sunni, shias, kurds and anybody else will start thinking themself as Iraqis first is if they all banded together and acomplish something grand that gives identity to iraq, and creating a real iraqi "fredom day" the only situation that i can think of uniting iraqis is fighting foreign invaders, weird eh.

@SaudiArabian

You said that its somewhat true that shiite Iraqis are more loyal to Iran than theyre own country.

Its true about many shiite priests lived in Iran. Jeez... Wonder why? Was it because saddam and his sunni miniority drove them to iran?

Were talking about loyalty to youre country. Theres no secret that the majority of the sunnis supported saddam. The president that gased his own inhabitants. One can ask himself what is most "illoyal".

I hope all groups in iraq come along sooner or later. I dont wish any certain group bad things. The first step in that direction is the end of insurgency. If theres anything that is fueling sectarianism it is said insurgency. For every mosque blast, the shiites get more and more desperate and you will se more death squads. Unfortunley, the majority of the insurgency is nor foreign alwaeda but normal sunni clans. The no secret that a big chunk off the sunnis cannot eccept that theyre not priviliged anymore and have to go along with life just as anybody else.

Actually...I didn't question the Shiites loyalty for Iraq...I questioned their loyalty to the US if they were to attack Iran...two different things. Will they approve it or not...that's the question. I'm aware that the Shiites considers themselves more Iraqi than the kurds...hell, kurds in the iraqi army already made clear of their position by officially declaring their loyalty to the peshmerge rather than the Iraqi army.

Also...don't be jumping to the conclution too quickly regarding the mosque bombings. Ask yourself who/which group will benefit most from the breakout of a civil war? There is one more group besides Zarqawi and that possibilty is considered pretty seriously among Iraqis already.

Just take a look at interim constitution's article (IIRC) #8 ;)

KOntra, aha well loyalty to the US is a different thing.

When it comesto the mosques you fo have a point. BUT, its been very clear the tactics of alqaeda and theyr strategys. Theirs no doubt who made theese crimes. Theres even been problens btw alqaeda about said tactics

What is happening is nasty. A plan to split the ME into tribal/ethnic lines. "Constructive chaos". All payed by Iraqi people blood. These comments by Mubarak etc... are to add fuel to the fire.

Why the they didnt kill Saddam yet? Does he still have a role to play? Nobody knows what is happening in secret.
