Please be advised that they are not Chinese Police (mainland China). They are Hong Kong Police which belongs to Hong Kong SAR Government and does not have any relationship with Ministry of Public Security from mainland China.

Yes, they are not Mongolian too  . Since this thread's title is "Chinese Police...." (capitalized C and P), I just think that no need to point out the ethnic designation :|. For example, no one would said "Chinese Police in NYPD" or "Chinese Police in SFPD" for Chinese American police officers. They are American cops, just like rest of fellow officers, who keep doing their job to serve and protect people.
(Maybe the title just made me think about Police from mainland China done somethings during WTO meeting in Hong Kong  ).

As the matter of fact, some of commanding officers within today's Hong Kong Police still are British, Irish, and Australian. A century ago, there was also a large number of Russian constables in Hong Kong Police Force.

Great post as always CAG 147. HK Police are seemingly one of the best forces in the world. Look great when I have seen them.

Oh really? We had the Chinese New Year fireworks here in February, which means that everyone heads over to Wan Chai or Kowloon to watch the fireworks that are fired off of the barges in the harbour.

So I went along with a couple of mates to watch the fireworks from Kowloon side. Guess what HK's finest had done?; they'd organised it so that everyone who went to see the fireworks from the promenade area (10s of thousands of people, maybe even 50 or 60k) were let into an area that was, at one point in the evening, barricaded off. So, no more people could get into that area (a large area), which is reasonable because you don't want too many people hemmed into a single area. When the fireworks were over and people started to move towards the exits they had originally come in, they found them blocked off. Everyone was forced to exit that area through one place.

God knows what would've happened if there'd been an incident and people had started to rush towards the exits they had originally come in via, cos they would've hit a couple of layers of steel railing. People would've been trampled underfoot as the crowd tried to figure out where the exit was. There would've been deaths and injuries, no doubt about that.

Everyone makes mistakes, like calling the USAF a poor performer because they let 9/11 happen!

What's the USAF's performance on 9/11 got to do with what I was talking about? Even a three year old kid understands the concept of trying to pour a bucketful of water through a straw.

100s of thousands of people have died in thousands of incidents all around the world, at stadiums, at concerts, other public events, over the past 100 years, precisely because there was an incident and everyone was funneled through a very limited number of exits. In the case of the the Chinese New Year fireworks viewing area in Kowloon Bay, there was only ONE exit.

That reminds me I shot a couple of WTO pics myself. Anybody interested? I would post them later as I don't have them on hand right now.

My focus was on the current Hong Kong Police Outfit. Got photos of some white Officers as well. Yes, they are still in the Force, but high ranks only of course.

EDIT: Here's one of them pics, more later:

that is ignorant and uncalled for you piece of sh!t. the only people who let 9/11 happen were the terrorists who organized it.
