What does your name mean can first, middle or both and if you don’t want to use your real name describe the reason for your screen name and what it means. If this has been done before I apologize I searched before hand and did not find any threads but I might have overlooked one.
Also you could just give the meaning and not your name but then some one could look it up using the reverse of the regular procedure.
Here is a good link to find meanings- http://www.babynamesworld.com
My names meaning-
Adam- earth, created by God
Matthew-God's Gift
My name was planned by my mother (she had others but went with this one), she wanted me to have a strong name and I like it and I hope I can live up to it.
Karmapolice- used it for a gamer tag and it kind of has stuck since people from the dorms call me by it and I got the idea from Radio Heads song Karmapolice which I really enjoy.

Wrestler. An occupational surname bestowed upon a strong man who was a champion at jousting or wrestling. Derived from the Middle English word '------,' which came from Old English 'cempa,' meaning 'warrior' or 'champion.'
^ That's from a different site, karmapolices's link just said "champion", in the past I've seen my name described as fighter, champion. So who's going to take me on in a joust?

It isn't on there, thanks though. I have looked at some sites before but they never seem to have it. I am not even sure it was my dad's father’s true last name since he was born before social security cards existed and when he registered for one who could have used a different alias and it would have been probable knowing what he was like.

My first name is from the Hebrew name יַעֲקֹב (http://www.behindthename.com/support/transcribe.php?type=HB&target=Ya%5E%22a%5E%5Eqob) (Ya'aqov). It means "supplant" or "the supplanter".
My middle name is from a surname which meant "little red one" in French.
(Named in honor of someone, no one in my family is French...or red, for that matter).
Last name is of local origin, doesn't mean anything, per se.

This name business vexs me. Most Western names have lost their meaning, due to the Christianisation of Europe. So we end up with germanic tribesman with names that originate in the Middle East, that have lost all their meaning along the way.
African tribal elder; my name is Bumbo Malonga - it means land of the eternal sunrise, because i was born on the savanah. What does your name mean?

I wanna give my kids names devoid of any biblical/hebrew meaning. Something like Æthelstan or something. Olaf would also be cool, but would seem pretentious seeing as i am not (knowingly) Nordic.

Germanic origin meaning "Brave in peace". Of course my parents and knew **** about it because i just googled it ;) ( i knew the germanic thing).
My last name is of slovenian origin but it's very common in a certain region in northern Castile (but it's inexistent in other regions of Spain).
And my nick, it's a long story and a series of coincidences in my life with that name so i always use it through the internet.

While indeed it's a name in hebrew, thats not the meaning of the name. There is no goddess of life, nor any goddess at all in Judaism or Hebrew tradition.
