I own every episode of Batfink (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00065HNMC/qid=1144874639/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-7074128-2927852) on DVD. When I bought it the girl behind the counter was barely old enough to remember Tellytubbies let alone Batfink, the look of puzzlement on her face was classic, though to be truthful, I'm not embarrassed about owning it in the slightest.

Haha I had that Bronski Beat album. Jimmy Sommerville could sing like a falsetto bastard. Half the songs are about buttsex I think. Most popular 80's type songs are probably considered lame today anyway.

I've got an older brother who has always been kind of a cool guy so growing up I had really good musical influences. But there was this brief period when I was in the 8th grade that I kind of got swept up in the whole break dancing phenomenon. Lockin', Poppin', headspinning...I did all that crap and all it got me was one very embarrassing copy of the soundtrack to the movie Breakin'.

Could be worse. I have a friend who was dating this horrible Filipino woman back in the late 1980's and she made him buy a copy of Prince's Lovesexy. The relationship went south a long time ago but he still has the faggoty ass Prince CD.

The Donnas are great. I want them to sing to me.

Like Hellboy said. The Police are a great band. Regatta de Blanc and Outlandos D'Amour rule.

Duran Duran are pure 80's pop. So what, they're still better than all those homo pop boy bands that have come since. We used to get drunk at frat parties and change the words to "Hungry like the Wolf" to "Hung Just like the Moose" whilst rubbing against drunken coeds. Good times, good times.

"It's this big around
it drags on the ground
and I'm hung just like the Mooooooose...."

Had ta be there.

I also have 2 Dexy's Midnight Runners albums.....

Is it weird that the first thing I thought of was The Lost Boys, where they kill Marco?

Anyway, I just thought of this bc I put my iTunes on shuffle and this song popped up and I laughed for 5 minutes.

Toto's Africa. I love that f*cking song. In college, my roommate and I used to listen to this song in her car and since I could sing really high, I always sang the refrain at the end...

"I bless the rains!
Ooooooh, I bless the rains!
Ooooooh, gonna take some time!"

Of course, we saw the humor in it all. Another is the Good Times theme.
