Oh, and a minor correction - the sniper rifle is the KBU88 and the bullpup assault rifle is the QBZ95. Both fire the Chinese 5.8x42mm round.

Thanks again, Redford.

No. That uniform is designed by English. Only use for the Chinese Commando troops. It not about the m81's business.

:P P.S. Chinese won the No. 1 in this competition.

Chinese military now use their own uniform and equipment much more than 20 years ago , especialy in Infantry. It doesn't like those small countrys which always buy from Russia or USA. Chinese does buy weapons from Russia, but it's a good deal with them, Russia is very poor now...they sell everything u want if u have money...

PLA, You haven't got an foggiest idea of how Internet works, have You? ;)

If you write an address of web site in window of your browser, your computer send some kind of question to remote server. In this question there are, among other things, your computer IP address (for example 210.5.12.12 (http://210.5.12.12/)), and its location. This question is also saved by your Chinese Internet provider, in files so called "logs". All your international and domestic connections are recorded, regardless of your're logged on some web site or not.

But I have got a question to You, about new Chinese ammo - 5,8 x 42mm DPB87. I cannot find its history and parameters (photos, data about muzzle energy, velocity, bullet types etc.), so maybe You could help me?

5.8mm ammo?
I knew less about them. I serviced in armor troops. We use type 81 rifles.
You should ask a chinese marine or paratrooper about type 95 or QJY-88.

Those guys are not from Hong Kong. The fact that their using type 95 rifles (and one guy is using a what looks like a type 85 subgun) makes it more likely that they are a SWAT-type unit in the People's Armed Police (PAP). Plus the gentleman in the middle is wearing the type 95 camouflage while its more likely you'll see the HK SDU in British DPM.

Seeing China's kind of new 5.8mm ammo, brought up a question within my idle mind.

Does China manufacture and issue MATCH QUALITY ammo to its snipers? (Like the US Military, IE M24 rifle and M118 Ball)

I'm curious, as China never really occured to me to be an "innovator" in firearms technology. (this is in no way to be construed as an insult to you PLA members)

Thanks for any feedback. p-)

"Dismantling" or field stripping the M16A2 can be typically finished in about 2 minutes, 30 seconds, as far as I've seen.

Damn son, don't you know that the Chinese government controls the internet in China? It means that they-the goverment only allow the Chinese with internet access go to certain websites in the World Wide Web :bash: I believe this site is one of them. You are obviously an internet newbie :bash:

United States goverment doesn't control the internet in America because we have a thing call "freedom of speech". I can go to ANY websites I want as long as it existed of course.

We do know the problem of our government, they try to control our life, but it's chaning...it can not last too long... actually we learned so many things from western world, we won't be like 20 years ago any more.

Ur government says u have the freedom of speech, sure...do u have any kind of public Chinese channel on TV? Besides CNN, do u have any way to know how are we living? u have no idea...am i right? I know so many things about ur society, history and so on, but u know what?

Yes we do. It's call satellite-high-tech cable or whatever. It's suppose to pick up like 500-1000 channels around the WORLD. But it's expensive like hell though. If not, there are about 100 channels through cable if you willingly to pay 80 bucks or whatever a month. We also have BBC, which is British news. You can get BBC if you have a TV. Trust me, there are more news channel than CNN.

You see, unlike China, news providers(FOX, CNN, TNN, BBC, ABC, NBC, etc.) here in USA are NOT CONTROL by the government. It's call "freedom of the press"

Oh yeah, when was the last time any Chinese people speak against your government without getting shot? We have a **** load of Americans here speak against our President and our country all the time. Celebrities like Dixie Chicks, Michael Moore, Johny Depp and just to name a few. We don't shoot them for practicing their freedom of speech.

Ur government says u have the freedom of speech, sure...do u have any kind of public Chinese channel on TV? Sure, in my home I've got a dish aimed at Astra/Hotbird satellite, so I can receive about three or four Chinese channels. Where's big deal? ;)

Besides CNN, do u have any way to know how are we living?Ypu know CNN it isn't one and only TV broadcaster. Particulary in Europe.

u have no idea...am i right?I afraid not ;)

I know so many things about ur society, history and so onHmm... I don't think so.

But I heard that my compatriot is very popular person in China. A woman, Nobel prize winner, chemist :D

Jack Mehoff, paulbo was just describing current situation about his country. My country (South Korea) had partial control over media up 'til early 80s. And we're not even communist country! MOST American don't know much about Asian countries. On the other hand, in most Asian countries, they know a lot about America's history, language, culture, and so on. Don't give me wrong idea, I LIVE in US, and I have been last 10 years excluding 3 years of mandatory service with Korean Army. I love this country! It is just sad to see a lot of American doesn't know what the heck is going on other part of the country.

China (mainland) is doing as good as they can accepting free-enterprise into their system. It just takes time as paulbo mentioned... Look at how big of country China is...

and so much for tv station debate.... We all have internet... Anyone can get anything (information wise)

have a good day,
