As I said earlier, I'll post a few items that have not been posted to Specwarnet for you guys to check out. This one was written by "Paulo" a former Portugese para.

Portugal’s
Companhia de Precursores
Cprecs

The Companhia de Precursores (Pathfinder Company) is an elite unit within the Portuguese Army’s Brigada Aerotransportada Independente (Airborne Brigade).

Their mission’s include:
- Recon and operate launching and landing zones
- Navigation and control of air traffic in hostile environment
- Limited direct action operations
- Operate behind enemy lines

In order to maintain it's operational levels, the Prec's Company participate in several drills and exercises. These include:
- Land Infiltration drills
- Tactical drills:
- low altitude infiltration jumps (auto opening)->day, night, land or water
- high altitude infiltration jumps (HAHO and HALO)->day, night with oxygen - (SOGA Teams)
- other drills with other forces

The Prec training course is divided in two parts:
- Phase A - Commando tactics
- Phase B - Air operations

After completing this course, the Precursores must take the Saltadores de Operacionais de Grande Altitude (SOGA - HALO/HAHO) course, witch allows:
- High altitude jumps with oxygen equipment, combat equipment and a wing type parachute.
- HALO and HAHO jumps.

Unfortunately due to the nature of this elite unit’s operations, there is no more available information.
