White House spokesman Scott McClellan has announced his resignation. He is stepping down amid a shake-up of US President George W Bush's senior advisers. Mr McClellan has been Mr Bush's press secretary since 2003.
"It's going to be hard to replace Scott, but nevertheless he made the decision and I accepted it," the president said.
Speaking alongside him, Mr McClellan said he was looking forward to the next chapter of his life.
"I have given it my all sir and I have given you my all sir," he said. "I will continue to do so as we transition to a new press secretary."
Mr Bush said Mr McClellan had had "a challenging assignment", which he handled with class and integrity.
"One of these days, he and I are going to be rocking in chairs in Texas and talking about the good old days," Mr Bush said.

Wow.....Fox just gets more "Fair and Balanced" by the day.........

What would this have to do with Fox? How is this different than the
various networks hiring ex-Executive Branch staffers as their new
"political analysts?" Yeah! Balanced they ain't.

I'd like to see IF Snow is picked AND he accepts... would he favor Fox
over other outlets and mediums? Hmmm..... Or would he pay homage
to his former masters? Time will tell.

I think they should hire Ann Coulter. It would be a breath of fresh air and not just another mouthpiece oof the assembly line.

I love it.

The broadcast news organizations have a round table consisting of 4 left wingers, and it's "normal". You get left of center, lefty, liberal, and flaming liberal to hand out the commentary.

Fox does 50/50 and it's somehow pandering to the right.

Fox never did 50/50. Also never said the other media was any better either. Its all entertainment now.

I agree that the line between news and entertainment has blurred - this is evidenced by the lip-gloss factor. I can hardly watch the news without being assaulted by some 20 year old broad with huge puffy lips and enough lip gloss on to put Jenna Jameson to shame. This is the wise old sage with decades of in-the-field experience? My pants have more experience than these people. However I do give Fox credit for making an effort to provide more right-wing commentators. It put an end to the slightly-less-to-the-left guy masquerading as "balance".

Both sides put the spin on the "news" and in the end we the public are the biggest losers for it. Many times, not only do they report the news but they like to stir up the flames also.

My personal disdain for the media really comes out when they jump on a hollywood story and stick with it for days on end like its the biggest news out there or that is real news. Like I care who broke up with who in hollywood or who went to rehad for the 8th time.

Not that I agree with what she says one little bit, mind you, but frankly she's something different from the Ari/Scott/Tony cloned mouthpieces.

I had to look up Ann Coulter was because I forgot (its one of those days at work). She would make a funny spokeswoman for the administration. I personally don't like her, to annoying. She has some good points and some issues I do agree with her. But overall to far out there.

She's head and shoulders above the common media types because
she has 1) a sense of humor in the form of biting wit, 2) common
sense, and 3) she's not bad to look at.

Hell, I’d become a fan of CSPAN 24/7 just to see the daily conniption fits in the White House press briefings. Then there would be the fun watching the nightly news syndicates spin the insanity into truly titanic melodrama.

Oh yeh, Coulter would be a hoot. Rush would be better though.
What a circus it would be. rofl

I'd pay real money to see that. And even more to see Margaret Thatcher giving it to her from behind at the same time with a rolled up copy of the Constitution.

Now if you'll excuse me, I think Satan just ran off with my soul....

sense of humor in the form of biting wit
no she doesn't, wit would imply a clever, humourous turn of phrase, all I ever see her doing is calling people "liberal" and thinking that's a argument, she also must be very lonely, she said she was "friendly" with Al Franken, according to him he only met her once for about 30 second's, now that's sad, atleast Sean Hannity is quirky, with his very serious interest in gay men "fisting" each other.....p-)

I can't stand Sean Hannity. He repeats himself over and over, and insults callers who don't agree with him.

Also, his choice of language (which may not be a choice ;)) is aimed at the lowest common denominator of intelligence. If you have a brain, and 9th grade verbal comprehension, you can understand everything he says.

I think they should go w/Ngati. He isn't American nor affiliated w/the current admin, but man it would be nice to hear someone say, "No. You have decided to ignore all the evidence put before you because it doesn't agree with your baseless opinions. If at anytime during the course of this little debate you've been provided with hard evidence you've either attempted to redirect by claiming to have difficulty with the 'official' language or claimed you're being picked on because of your stance."

"Seems to me you are an idiot who is talking through a hole in his arse"

None too shabby, none too shabby at all.

You'd have to read her columns. It's obvious you haven't.

or maybe your thinking of the time she implyed that Black South Africans were "savages".....yes what a cutting almost Oscar Wilde worthy line that was, just to clear it up, she said she supported the Israeli government, the same way she supported the South African government during the apartheid years, because they were both surrounded by savages, but I'm sure she'd just brush that off as another one of her colourful and biting critiques of liberalism, as she usually does when her **** catches up with her.
