My econ professor said his family had their house destroyed by all the fighting that occured there. He also said that the movie only portrays about 2% of what actually went on. He said special forces would come out at night before and after that actual date and engage in huge firefights in which many somolians were killed. He went on to tell me that they cut Shugart/Gordans bodies into pieces. He said when I mean pieces, I mean they cut the legs and arms off and people would stab the bodies as they went by on the street.

Well no **** the movie only shows about 2%. The event portrayed in the movie lasted about 18-22 hours, and how many weeks were the UN and Task Force Ranger in Somalia? And many Somalis believe that the Somalis in the movie were portrayed as savages. Wierd, considering they dragged our soldiers through the streets as a trophy...

And you don't need a Somali to tell you all of that. You could just find archival CNN footage of Super 64's crew chief Bill Cleveland being dragged through the streets and quartered.

Well, the movie portrays 1 event inthe whole time they were there. And the SF work at night and if they are shot at, we will shoot back. ANd we are more advanced in weapont and tactics thats why there were many dead Skinnies (or Somalis) if you are offended by that. And well thats it.
