Blast kills US soldiers in Iraq
A bomb has killed two US soldiers and wounded a third on a road 70 kilometres (45 miles) west of Baghdad.
The combat soldiers' vehicle, which was serving as an escort in a convoy, struck a homemade bomb in Habaniya, US Central Command reports.

The deaths bring to 267 the number of US troops reported by the Pentagon as killed in action in Iraq since the end of major combat on 1 May.

Habaniya is close to the flashpoint towns of Ramadi and Falluja.

Earlier, the US-led coalition reported that two Iraqi women employed at a coalition laundry in the southern city of Basra had been killed by gunmen who raked their taxi with bullets.

Also on Wednesday evening, a US soldier was mortally wounded in a roadside bomb attack near the central town of Baquba.

I thought I'd post this article from yesterday as it didn't get a mention

How long has it been since there were KIA's over there? Hasnt it been relatively quiet in terms of our boys taking losses for several weeks? RIP to these two poor fellas.
